Sunday Walk In Oxleas Wood

Posted on behalf of South East London social dog walk - Oxleas Woods
We are back to fortnightly walks for the near future, hope to see some familiar and new faces and the weather is kind to us!

If this is your first walk, or you have not yet paid the £2 membership charge, please bring it along, many thanks.

Please be aware that the woods can be very muddy if it has rained so suitable footwear is advised, you will probably get dirty, your dog definitely will!!

We take a wander around Oxleas Woods, let the dogs play off lead (if they aren't too naughty!) and have a natter on the way round.

The car park for Oxleas wood is just off of Shooters Hill Road, down Kenilworth Gardens and onto Crown Woods Lane.

We are normally do about an hours walk at a leisurely pace.

Hope to see you there.

Eltham Station to North Greenwich (capital ring and the Thames Path)

Posted on behalf of 45+ Not grumpy old Londoners! Love life, travel and culture
This is a lovely, varied and interesting walk of approximately 8 miles

We will meet at 10.45 am at Eltham Station and have a hot drink in The Tudor Barn at 11am.

The walk will take us through Oxleas Wood where we will have lunch in a café or you can bring your own sandwiches if you prefer, before making our way to the Thames Barrier following the capital ring.

Please ensure you are wearing boots as the woodland paths can get extremely muddy.

Tea stop, toilets available before the final short stretch along the Thames Path to North Greenwich.

At the end we will have a drink in one of the many bars the O2 has to offer.

Leader is Paul

Greenwich Restart Party

Posted on behalf of Restarters London
Join us on our London 2016 tour round 14 London boroughs in a big campaign to Restart the Capital - from Havering to Kingston, Waltham Forest to Croydon.

We help you learn how to fix all kinds of devices, starting with troubleshooting, advising on spare parts if necessary and more. Take back control of your e-stuff, never feel victim to obsolescence again. Slow laptops, broken printers, smartphones, coffee grinders, you name it.

We will have drinks and snacks, and be in the community space in this council building.

Please arrive before 8:30pm if you would like help and remember: we're happy to help for you to learn how to repair. We are not repair professionals, and Restart Parties are a community self-repair space.

Attending means that you take responsibility for your own gadget, your own data, so please do not forget to back-up your data. And bring all relevant cables and leads.

We are pleased to say that this event is in partnership with Greenwich Council has been supported  by Recycle for London as part of their wider work to encourage people to reuse and repair stuff.
